Finite Mathematics, MATH 104

Welcome to Math 104, Spring 2019. (Sections 003 and 004)

In this class we will perform a survey of mathematics including consumer math, sets, logic, probability and statistics.

Math 020 or an acceptable placement are pre-requisites for this class.

You should not take this class if you have taken, or must take, Math 110/Math 210.

• You will need a calculator for this class. It is best to have one with the following functions
  • square root
  • x^y (or x^y)
  • x!
  • _nP_r
  • _nC_r
  A low cost scientific calculator ($10 or so) will do fine. You are not permitted to use your cell phone or other mobile device on the test.

  A graphing calculator, such as the TI-83+ is overkill for this class.
