Project Progress Report
The progress report consists of two pieces, a document and a presentation. The purpose is to
- Encourage you to work on your project.
- Allow you to present any interesting preliminary findings.
- Allow for peer review and comment
- Encourage discussion of problems.
This is based on my experiences in the world of research and work. In general, we tend to do better if we have to periodically report on progress. In addition, it is sometimes useful to discuss problems and progress with peers. Please do not shy away from reporting and discussing problems at this phase.
Please prepare a brief, two to three page, report summarizing work put into and progress made on the project. This SHOULD include a discussion of problems, especially problems with interesting answers or problems yet to be solved.
Please prepare a presentation describing your progress and problems as well. This presentation should be approximately five minutes long, however additional time will be allocated for discussion.
