Logic and Switching Theory of the Computer, CMAC/CMSC 2100
Welcome to CMAC/CMSC 2100 section 200 Fall 2024.
This course is worth three credits.
In this course we will study the underlying ideas and hardware that are used to
create a computer. This includes the study of data representation and encoding both numbers and other data. Basic Boolean logic and the physical gates that are used to implement this logic will be investigated. Finally we will discuss how to implment more complex circuits based on these ideas.
- Section 200 : MWF: 11:00 to 11:50
At least some portion of the homework will be completed using the
Digital software package. To run this, you will need JRE 1.8.0 or later.
I am the instructor of record for this class. Only the instructor of record for this class can issue a final grade.
