When you complete this homework you should

Be able to build modules in TK-gate.
Be able to perform computations involving CPI
Be able to explain how various common speed measurements can be misleading.

[2 points] Do problem 1.4 (a and b) page 55. Use dimensional analysis to obtain your results. Questions with just answers are wrong.
[2 points] Do problem 1.5 (just a and b) page 55. Use dimensional analysis to obtain your results. Questions with just answers are wrong.
[2 points] Do problem 1.6 (a and b) page 55. Use dimensional analysis to obtain your results. Questions with just answers are wrong.
[4 points] Do problem 1.12 (1-4) on page 58. Use dimensional analysis to obtain your results. Questions with just answers are wrong.
[10 points] Do this lab exercise.

Note

You must perform dimensional analysis and show your work because:

It helps you understand what you are computing, otherwise why would we do these exercises.
It helps you remember what you did, because I bet you will see these computations again in a few weeks.
It helps you learn the formulas involved.
And this still irritates me, 17 years later. If you show your work, errors can be found and corrected.

Submission

You may write the answers to the first 4 parts by hand. These answers should be turned in at the beginning of class on the due date.
