Short Description:

Goals

• Created a list of questions relating to homework 4.
• Designed a main routine for homework 4.
• Suggested several low level functions that might be useful for implementing homework 4.

Formal Description

1. Create a list of questions relating to homework 4. These can include questions related to the project (what does this mean?) as well as questions related to programming and algorithms (How will we do this?)
2. Create a high level algorithm for the main function of homework 4. This should be written in pseduo code and describe the high level operation of this program. (IE the steps that a person would take if they were emulating this calculator). This should NOT include instructions any computations. (I am thinking less that 20 lines, including a loop or two).
3. At a different level, it is sometimes useful to design/implement low level routines. Listed below are some suggestions that might be used with the binary number system. Following this pattern, list four additional sets of routines that might be useful in your final program.
   • int BinaryToDecimal(string binary) // convert a number in base 10 to binary.
   • string DecimalToBinar(int decimal) // convert a number in binary to base 10
   • int BinaryDigitToDecial(char digit) // convert a binary digit to the decimal equivalent.

When forming your answers, remember, you are working on developing algorithms for your next program.
