A Celebration of Scholarship

Poster Presentation Guidelines

Students wishing to present posters should adhere to the established conventions for their respective disciplines and incorporate all essential elements of good poster design and presentation. Some resources are listed in the Other Resources section.
  1. Participating students must work with a research/project adviser as they prepare posters for presentation.
  2. Advisers are responsible for reviewing abstracts and assuring they are properly formatted and without grammatical errors.
  3. Submissions must represent new work that has not been presented at a previous Celebration of Scholarship by the student(s) or adviser(s).
  4. First authors on posters should be Edinboro students.
  5. Participating students and their advisers should submit a Poster Submission Form by March 16nd at 5:00 pm.
  6. Posters should be mounted on 3'x5' tri-fold poster board available at the bookstore.
  7. Posters should not exceed 3' x 5' in size. Posters can be printed at Piper Press at a reasonable cost.
  8. Students may provide a handout outlining the methods and major findings of their scholarship.
  9. Completed posters should be setup between noon and 1:00 pm in Van Houten North Wednesday April 15thin order to be considered for awards. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with this process.
  10. All posters must be removed at the conclusion of the awards ceremony within 30 minutes after the ceremony.
