Accessing Our Server
- Please Note:
- The systems discussed in this document use your pennwest credentials.
- There are no longer different CS credentials.
- This means you use your university username and password.
- We have changed our server.
- This is now completely under the control of ITS.
- Please report ANY problems with this system to the help ticket system.
- We have a single server that works as a compute server and as a web server.
- as a compute server: devweb1-ssh.cis.pennwest.edu
- as a web server: https://devweb1.cis.pennwest.edu
- The https port is available to the entire world
- So you can share your web pages with everyone.
- simply access https://devweb1.cis.pennwest.edu/~username
- To access the machine via ssh
- From on campus: ssh devweb1-ssh.cis.pennwest.edu
- From off campus
- You will need to connect to the campus network via vpn
- In a browser connect to http://myaccess.calu.edu/
- Select Group: Students
- Log in and validate with 2fa.
- You will be forwareded to a Cisco AnyConnect site to downlowd the Cisco AnyConnect client for your os
- Download and install the Cisco AnyConnect client.
- Run the Cisco AnyConnect client.
- Log into myaccess.calu.edu
- Use group students again
- You will have to sign in again.
- This will now set up a new route on your home machine making it "part" of the virtual campus network.
- You only need to do steps 1-4 once on each of your systems.
- You will need to do step 5 every time your are disconnected.
