Polygons

• A closed figure, with three or more sides is called a polygon
• The lines are called sides
• The the points where the edges meet are called verticies or a single one is called a vertex
• A polygon is regular if all the sides are the same length and all the interior angles are the same measure.
• The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a triangle is 180° (show this)
• 
• In general, the measures of the internal angles of a n-sided polygon is (n-2)×180°
• Page 534 do examples 30-34 as needed.
• Two figures are similar if they have the same shape but (possibly) different sizes.
• For similar figures, the lengths of the corresponding sides are proportional.
• Do 47 through 56 as needed.
