The goals of this homework are:

- Explore the sizes of datasets.
- Begin thinking about data you might want to use in your project.
- Understand the rate of change in computer speeds in the last 40 years.
Please provide the answers to the following in a word document.

- What is the size of current flash drives? A range is ok.
- What is the current size of a hard drive in a laptop? (A range is ok.).
- Go to any one of the following data portals
Browse the content and locate a data set you might be interested in exploring.
- Identify the dataset and provide a url
- How big is the dataset (records, fields)
- How big is the dataset (in bytes, use the proper prefix). You may need to download the dataset to see this.
- What is the dataset format?
- In preparing for the project
- What are your areas of interest? (This can include professional, academic, and personal areas)
- What types of data might be available in each of these areas? (None is an ok answer, but probably not terribly useful)
- Complete the Speedup Exercise, attach a screen shot of your final product in formula mode and normal mode for the second part (A more realistic example) of the exercise.
