Formal Description

1. Start a word document for this assignment.
   • Place identifying information at the top (name, section, homework 1)
2. Install putty, winscp, and notepad++ on your windows computer.
   • Take a screen shot of the installed programs running and insert this into your document.
3. Using the example in the notes, create an algorithm for the following problem. Place this algorithm in your word document.
   • You are helping to plan a charity 5k fun run. You will have two classes of people participating: walkers and runners.
     • Everyone who participates gets a T-shirt that costs $5.
     • Walkers will also get a participation award costing $2.
     • Runners receive a metal costing $4.
   • Create an algorithm for a program that produces the following output:

     There are a total of 10 participants including 4 walkers and 6 runners.
        T-shirt Cost: $50.00
        Metal Cost:   $24.00
        Award Cost:   $ 8.00
     
        Total Cost:   $82.00
