Programs

A major focus of this class is programming. Students are expected to produce working programs that solve the problem in the program description. These programs must be well written and documented. They must be the original work of the submitter.

It is your responsibility to follow instructions and make sure that material submitted is in the correct form. If your material is in an incorrect format, I will make every attempt to access this material, or contact you if I can not decipher it, but it is ultimately your responsibility to submit the material in the correct form.

Remember, it is best to turn the programs in on time, but if you must be late, it is better to turn the programs in late than fail to do so. In any case, no program will be accepted more than two weeks late.

Programming is a difficult, time consuming, and sometimes frustrating activity. Students should plan on spending significant time in the computer lab solving the assigned homework.

Program due dates and point values will be noted in the assignment.

Late Policy

Officially, I do not accept late homework.

Program Redo Policy

If you turn your assignment in on time or early, you may at your option, resubmit it once after performing corrections a modified score. This option is not available to late submissions, or to submissions judged by the instructor to be simply place holders for late homework. The original late score still applies for others submitting late work.

Resubmissions must be made submitted within one week of the time the program is graded. The resubmission may be regraded completely. Resubmission of a program may or may not result in s a higher score based upon the corrections performed. All feedback is expected to be incorporated into resubmissions.

The resubmission policy is not available for programs submitted during the last week or classes or finals week.

You are responsible for ALL code submitted. You should know what this code does and be able to explain how the code works. I may, at my option, require an oral code review for any program submitted.
