This class is designed to make sure you know how to use common software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software) that are needed to succeed in college. Additional skills (terminology overview and email) will be discussed.

The purpose of this class is to move your skills beyond those of someone who knows how to open the software products and click on the buttons. Students who fail to learn how to used advanced features of these software packages will be graded accordingly.

If you feel that you posses these skills, you may earn credit for this course by taking a competency examination.

It is important to note that if you wish to do this, it must be done before the drop period ends (Monday 1/30). There is a fee associated with credit by examination.

If you feel that you are an advanced computer user, but do not wish to take the credit by examination route, please feel free to contact me for alternative assignments. If you wish to do this, you must do so in the first week of class.

Important Announcements will be placed here.
