Word Chapter 1
- Much of chapter 1 deals with the technicalities of using word.
- Starting a document from a template.
- A template is a predesigned document which provides guidance for developing a specific type of document.
- The Hide/Show marker is very useful later on to debug documents.
- Headers and footers
- Provide a uniform display at the top/bottom of each page.
- Insert tab Header & Footer group,.
- Or just click in the right area.
- This will bring up the Header & Footer special tab.
- Text that is typed here is here.
- To use page numbers, use page numbers.
- More on page numbers later.
- Special symbols on the Insert tab symbols group.
- The special symbols include letters from other alphabets.
- The special characters include other things.
- Watermark
- Document Views
- On the View tab
