For this exercise we will work with some quotations from the works of Shakespeare.
Make sure that you save often.
If you can't do a section, please continue with the next.
There are pictures of my document at the end of the instructions. I have added red lines to discourage cheating. Please look at these if you are confused.
You may print this portion of the test if you wish, but you don't need to.
When you are finished, you should

Start Word.
(5 points) Begin by Adding a header to the document.
On the left, put your name.
Center the words Test 1, CSCI 104
On the right the words Spring 2006
(5 points) Go to http://www.allshakespeare.com/quotes/ and copy the text from the
links for the following quotes. Copy the Quote, citation and the text.
Do not copy the Themes/Keywords line. (see the example below for what I copied.)

(2 points) Delete the text [Jump to the quote in the text of the play ] from each quote.
(3 points) For each quote, change the text style to Heading 1.
(3 points) For each quote, move the citation of the play, including the scene and act, to a footnote.
(8 points) Insert a title page.
Make a title in 24 point bold, old English font containing the text Quotes from Shakespeare
Center this
Add an endnote to the title giving the citation from the web page above.

Insert a table of contents, this should not contain the title, the words, Quotes from Shakespeare, Table of Contents, or your name.
Remove the header material from the title page only.
(5 points) Add a footer to all pages other than the title page.
This should contain Page followed by the page number, automatically generated, on the left hand side.
Place the date, automatically generated on the right hand side.
Number the pages, starting at 1 on the first page of text.
You should not type in either the page number or the date but should use the correct menu choices to have Word do this for you.
(5 points) Modify all of the normal text in this document to be
11 point
5 points before and after each paragraph
1.5 line spacing.
Do this by creating a new style and applying it to all normal text.
For the remaining document, return to the default normal text style.
(2 points) At the end of the text, start a new page and insert word art with the text: Other Class Material
Below the word art, add the following text.

Some people have very poor taste in classics. They really should read more. Who thinks Euclid's Elements is a classic?
