Test One
Please follow all of the instructions on this page. You need to include
the elements described, but your final product may have slight variations.
You may use your book for this section of the exam.
Make sure that you save often, crashing your computer at the end is not
an excuse for not completing the test.
For this product we will be producing an enhanced report on "Beowulf".
- (4 pts) The top of the page should contain word art "Beowulf"
- (4 points) Next should be a two column table, the right side should contain
your name, the left side "104 Word Test, Spring 2004", your name should
be right justified, the test information left justified.
- (5 points) Under this place the following paragraph.
Beowulf is the first great heroic poem in English literature. Usually this important fact is not obvious to the general reader when he reads the poem
in Modern English. Invariably it seems quaint. The trouble is that Beowulf is so rich in meaning that no single translation, however excellent, can make all or even most of its poetry come across.
- (2 points) Change all references to Beowulf to italic.
- (2 points) Indent this paragraph on both the right and left
- (2 points) Justify the text in this paragraph.
- (5 points) Search for "Adventures of Beowulf" on the web, Find a
picture of a page of the manuscript and insert it.
- (5 points) Find a copy of the Beowulf text. Enter the last four
stanzas of the poem
- (3 points) Place these stanzas in two column mode.
- (2 points) Change the font of the text to some script like font.
- (2 points) Place the picture behind the stanzas
- (2 points) Add a line of text, "The Sections of Beowulf", center this on the page
- (6 points) Add the following outline in two column mode
