Fall 2007 Word Test

Please read the following
  1. Start Word.
  2. (1 points) Place your name in the left hand corner of the Header
  3. (4 points) Place the word Page followed by the page number, using roman numerals, in the right hand corner of the header. Each page should be numbered correctly starting from I.
  4. (3 points) Cut the written story Piece-by-Piece from http://www.americanfolklore.net/folktales/ny4.html and paste this into your document.
  5. (2 points) Remove the Listen to the story link.
  6. (3 points) Replace the title Piece-by-Piece with word art.
  7. (3 points) Put retold by S. E. Schlosser in 14 point Blackadder ITC bold font.
  8. (5 points) Add a endnote after Schlosser that states: From the American Folklore Collection
  9. (2 points) Place all of the text in normal style.
  10. (2 points) Justify align the first paragraph.
  11. (5 points) Place the next three paragraphs in two column mode. Put the first two paragraphs in the first column and the third paragraph in the second column.
  12. (2 points) Indent the first line of each of the above paragraphs.
  13. (4 points) Change all occurrences of the word Poughkeepsie to be Edinboro
  14. (5 points) At the end of the story, insert a citation to the web page the story was copied from.
  15. (2 points) After the story, add a section titled Outline of the Plot. Use heading two style
  16. (5 points) Add a numbered list.
  17. (5 points) Put a picture of a ghost between the two columns, have the text wrap around the ghost.
  18. (5 points) Insert a Bibliography on the last page of your document.
  19. (2 points) Insert a shape art smiley face.
  20. (2 points) Insert a shape art callout from the smiley face.
  21. (3 points) Insert the words Ghosts are fun into the callout box. Make it 20 point, red and some script font.
  22. (10 points) Under the outline insert the following in a tabbing environment
  23. (10 points) Add a table that looks like this (you will not be able to duplicate this table exactly, but make the general layout the same.) See the example for more detail.
