Inserting Objects

• Objects include
  • Pictures
  • Word Art
  • Text Boxes
  • Other documents (portions of workbooks)
  • Sound
  • Video
• Objects "float" around inside of the text.
• We will be using the Insert tab for this.
• Changing the word wrap on an object allows you to move it where you want in the text.
• There are many tools for modifying the properties of a picture.
  • If you click on a pictures, it will bring up a contextual tab which provides access to these tools.
• A text box is sometimes useful when you have text that is not part of the body of the main document.
• Smart Art provides templates for many graphics/text items.
• Shapes provide many simple shapes (circles, squares, arrows).
• I like Word Art.
