Goals
After this lesson you should be able to
    - Add non-text content to a OneNote notebook

- Add drawings to a OneNote notebook.
Adding Objects to OneNote Pages
    - Almost all of this material is from chapter 31

- I will continue working on the Birthday Party Notebook from last time.

- Let's focus on Food.

- I made three pages in food, Main Dishes, Side Dishes, and Desserts

- Let's add a table to the main dishes page

         - We will learn much more about tables in word

- But for now they are useful to make stuff look organized

- On the insert tab, select table

- Draw a 2x3 table.

-
- This will insert a table into your current page.

-
- Fill this out by clicking in a cell and typing values.
(Ignore the 3D effect on the web browser).

-
	 | Hamburgers | 20 | | Hot Dogs | 15 | | Sausages | 30 |

- You can add columns or rows by

	     - right clicking on the table

- Clicking on the table choice

- Selecting where you want to add what.

-

- Change the table to be:

-
	 | Hamburgers | 20 | 1 box | | Hot Dogs | 15 | 2 packages | | Sausages | 30 | 5 packages | | Veggie Burgers | 6 | 2 boxes |

- Pictures

         - Probably one of the easiest things to add.

- Move to your Dessert page.

- Open this page in another tab.

	       - Right click on the link.

- Select open in new tab

- To copy the picture

	        - Right click on the picture

- Select Copy Image

- To paste the picture

	      - Right Click in the page.

- Select any of the past options.

- Resize the picture

	      - Hover over any of the corner boxes.

- When the diagonal arrow shows up, left click and hold.

- This maintains the aspect ratio.

- Remember, the blue arrow at the top of the page will undo, so play a bit.

- Resize to a Chocolate mountain

- Resize to a Chocolate pancake

- Resize and make it fit nicely on the page.

- You can also insert a screen clipping

	     - Move the image you want onto the screen, in this case move the recipe into view.

- Go to the INSERT tab

- Select Screen Clipping

	          - When you do this:

		       - OneNote will disappear

- The screen will go "pail"

- An + will appear.

- Move the + to one corner of the image you wish to capture

- Press and hold the left mouse button.

- Move the + to the opposite corner of the image you wish to copy.

- Let go of the mouse button

- The image will be pasted into OneNote.

- Note, the date of the screen clipping is inserted as well.

- Other screen picture tools

	      - The application Snipping Tool will allow you to take different types of screen shots.

- Pressing Print Scrn on the top row of the keyboard willl take a screen shot of the entire screen.

- Either of these will place the image into the cut buffer

- Which can be pasted into an application.

- There are other picture tools as well.

- A link to a web page

         - Eventually a web page link will contain two parts.

	     - The text displayed in OneNote

- The link, or address.

- Look at this link:

	     - Edinboro's Page

- The text is Edinboro's Page

- The address is http://www.edinboro.edu

- There are two ways to insert a link

	      - The Link button on the INSERT tab.

- Just pasting a link as a note.

- The text and address is needed for both.

- Go back to the recipe page and copy the address

- Now go to your OneNote Page and click on the Link button

- Paste the address into the Address: field.

- Type "The recipe is here" into the Text to display: field.

- You can also attach a file.

         - In this case, let's put the recipe in a word document.

- Start word,

- Copy the ingredient list and paste it into word.

	      - I would use the Keep Source Formatting option.

- Do the same with the directions.

- Save this on file as ingredients

- Go to the INSERT tab.

- Select the File Attachment button.

- Browse to the document and select it.

- There are many other things you can attach

         - Some depend on your hardware.

- Finally, you can annotate the page with Drawing Tools.

        - Select the DRAW tab

- Follow your instincts.

- The convert button is ok.

- Enter the formula for A=πr2
