Grades
Grades will be assigned as follows:

| 90 - 100 | A |
I reserve the right to lower the ranges in this table if I feel that it is
appropriate. I will not raise the standards of performance.
Your grade will consist of the following components:

| Word Test: | 15 points |
| Excel Test: | 15 points |
| Final Exam: | 20 points |
A note on due dates:
All work for the previous week is due at the beginning of the first class period of the week. For example, durring the first week you will
be given hands on exercise assignments from the Getting Started with Microsoft Windows XP section, and these will be due on the Monday/Tuesday class of the second week. Late work will not be accepted. Please turn in your work as
you complete it.
Description of Components:
- Hands on Exercises:
Each chapter in the book has two to three sets of hands on exercises.
These exercises include step by step instructions on how to perform
the tasks discussed in the chapter that will be needed to complete
the problems at the end of that chapter.
- Homework:
I will assign two to three problems from the end of each chapter
for you to complete. Please make sure that you follow all
instructions, both in the assignment statement and in the exercise.
- Projects:
I will assign one to four projects for each software package. Please
make sure that you follow all instructions for these projects.
