I reserve the right to lower the ranges in this table if I feel that it is appropriate. I will not raise the standards of performance.

• Hands on Exercises:
  Each chapter in the book has two to three sets of hands on exercises. These exercises include step by step instructions on how to perform the tasks discussed in the chapter that will be needed to complete the problems at the end of that chapter.
• Homework:
  I will assign two to three problems from the end of each chapter for you to complete. Please make sure that you follow all instructions, both in the assignment statement and in the exercise.
• Projects:
  I will assign one to four projects for each software package. Please make sure that you follow all instructions for these projects.
• Tests:
  • The word test will be the 8^th week and will cover chapters 1-6. It will consists of both a written portion and a practical portion. You may earn up to 15 points on this test.
  • The excel test will be the 13^th week. and will cover chapters 1-5. It will consist of a written and a practical portion. You may earn up to 15 points on this test. This is the week of Thanksgiving. Please do not make travel plans that will force you to miss this test.
  • The final exam will be the week of Dec 13, and will be comprehensive. (Everything we have talked about). It will include a written and practical portion. You may earn up to 20 points on this test.
