Document Appearance
- Typography
- Character sets are called fonts.
- Styles
- Serif - lines on the end of each pen stroke
- sans serif - no lines
- Monospace, proportional
- Bold, Underline, italic ...
- Use Restraint
- More is NOT better
- Emphasizing everything means nothing is emphasized.
- Size
- A point is 1/72 of an inch.
- 8 or smaller is too small
- 14 or larger is generaly too large.
- 12 is standard.
- Page Setup
- Landscape - Sideways on te page.
- Portrate - normal page orientation.
- Warning:
- Don't spend too much time making the document pretty. Content
is more important than form.
