Transitions between slides

• One of the nice things about a power point presentation is the ability to have things on slides move.
• One of the horrid things about a power point presentation is the ability to have things on slides move.
• The first of these is called a transition
• This is how one slide moves off the screen and another appears.

A note on Giving Presentations Involving Technology

• Always have a backup plan - what if the technology fails.
• The technology may make things pretty, but content is important too.
• Practice to make sure you know what you are going to do as well as say.
• Get there early, make sure the stuff works.
• Be flexible if it fails in the middle of your presentation.
• Handouts are often a good idea.
